Spectators are advised to make use of the shuttle service that will be available at the Civic Centre.

The city’s JP Smith said parking will also be available at Good Hope Seminary Junior School on Vredehoek Avenue.

"The city would like to thank the residents in the affected area for their understanding and make a plea for motorists to bear with us during this period."

Motorists are reminded of the alternative routes into the city that are available this weekend.

Alternative routes include the N1 incoming and outgoing, N2 incoming and outgoing.

Smith once again apologised for the inconvenience to motorists.

"Traffic diversions via alternative routes will be in place to ensure that those who normally use Philip Kgosana Drive can still reach their destinations on time."

He added that Christiaan Street and Service Road would also be affected.

"While we recognise the inconvenience such events may cause, they play a vital role in creating jobs and boosting the local economy."
