R&B singer Mariah the Scientist to headline WAV Festival in Cape Town

R&B singer Mariah the Scientist is set to make her Mzansi debut as Afro Nation’s WAV Festival comes to Cape Town.
Curated to showcase the best in R&B, soul, and alternative sounds, the festival will take place at Green Point Track on 2 January 2026.
The lineup includes Kelvin Momo, Shekhinah, Manana, Nanette, and Kujenga.
"Designed to honour the soulful roots of R&B while reimagining its future, WAV Festival provides a global platform for both international and home-grown talent, amplifying voices shaping the sound and culture of tomorrow," the festival organisers say.
General tickets start at R799 and Golden Circle at R1,365.
Presale tickets go on sale on 29 October, and general sales start on 31 October.
