South Africa’s Proteas Women made history in the 2025 ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup by defeating England by 125 runs in a thrilling semi-final. 

The victory secures the team a spot in the final, where they will face the winner of Thursday’s semi-final between India and Australia.

Captain Laura Wolvaardt was the standout performer, earning praise for her remarkable game and leadership. 

Her humility and focus during post-match interviews highlighted the team’s unity and growing confidence on the international stage.

The win reflects the increasing support and recognition for South African women’s cricket, with fans celebrating a milestone achievement.
