The Miss Universe pageant has been marred by controversy after several contestants, including the reigning Miss Universe, walked out in protest to defend Miss Mexico.
Several contestants walked out of a pre-pageant event after Miss Universe Thailand director Nawat Itsaragrisil reportedly berated Miss Mexico’s Fatima Bosch in front of contestants for not posting enough promotional content.
In a viral video, some contestants can be heard shouting, and Itsaragrisil raises his voice.
Nawat Itsaragrisil, director of the MGI pageant, faces criticism after publicly reprimanding and asking security to remove Miss Mexico from sash ceremony in Thailand.
