Former Minister of Public Enterprises Malusi Gigaba says he's willing to cooperate with law enforcement agencies as they investigate corruption allegations against him.

Gigaba met with the Investigating Directorate Against Corruption (IDAC) on Friday over claims that he received undue benefits while serving as minister between 2010 and 2014.

Gigaba posted on social media that he had been summoned to appear in court, however, IDAC has since clarified that he has not been charged at this stage.

African National Congress (ANC)'s national executive committee (NEC) member Gigaba announced on social media that the NPA had notified him that he was being charged with procurement-related corruption.

However, the IDAC later clarified that Gigaba has not been charged and will not be appearing in court on Friday.

Gigaba now says that during his engagement with IDAC, officials informed him that they are investigating allegations that he received undue benefits while serving as Minister of Public Enterprises.

The MP said he will cooperate fully with the ongoing investigation, but maintains that he has done nothing wrong.

Gigaba insists the probe does not relate to any decisions he made in his capacity as minister.
