City of Tshwane’s Emergency Services will remain on high alert in the metro following warnings from the weather services of severe thunderstorms.
The weather service has issued a yellow level two warning today for the possibility of localised flooding, damaging winds, and excessive lightning.
Tshwane EMS is urging people to practice caution under the wet conditions
EMS Spokesperson Nana Radebe-Kgiba has advised residents to stay indoors.
"Do not seek shelter under isolated trees or tall objects if there is a thunderstorm. Avoid crossing flooded low-lying roads, bridges, and swollen streams. The department will continue to monitor the weather reports and remain on high alert throughout the city for any related emergencies to protect life and property."
