Frustrated artists calling for transparency and good governance in the music industry are set to march to the South African Music Rights Organisation (SAMRO) on Thursday.
Artist United, joined by musicians, will be handing over a memorandum of demands to SAMRO.
The group said artists have faced years of exploitation and injustice in the industry and it must come to an end.
Some political parties have joined the protest.
ActionSA president Herman Mashaba said, "It hurts me today to see it looks like this ANC [African National Congress] government is worse than apartheid government. It's not that we're worse, it's just that apartheid government, we accept that they didn't care about us.”
