The Western Cape Blood Service is urging the public to come out and donate on 29 November 2025.

Multiple African countries will be collaborating later this month to promote citizens to donate blood.

The Western Cape Blood Service encourages first time donors to donate and save up to three lives.

Donors can find the blood drive in multiple malls across the Cape.

Liberty Promenade, Table Bay Mall, Van Gate Mall, Blue Root Mall, N1 City Mall and Cape Gates Shopping Centre are just a few of the malls that donors can visit to donate blood.

The Western Cape Blood Service Public Relations Manager, Marike Carli says they hope to see South Africa collect 6,000 units of blood.

“For the Western Cape Blood Service, our goal is to connect 1,000 units of blood on the day and we would love to see that at least 15% of those donations come from new blood donors.”
