Police in Tembisa report making notable inroads in the investigation following the tragic murder of two women at a local school earlier this week.
Tragedy struck at Inxiweni Primary School when the principal and a clerk were shot and killed while preparing for a meeting after working hours.
The incident sent shockwaves through the community and the education sector.
Authorities have since arrested a 26-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man in connection with the incident. They are currently being held for allegedly planning and carrying out the double murder.
Police spokesperson Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi confirmed the arrests and provided details on the suspects' upcoming court appearances.
"The suspect, who is also an employee at the school, is expected to appear before Tembisa Magistrates Court on 21 November 2025, facing a murder charge. The 35-year-old man was arrested in the early hours of this morning and is expected to appear before Tembisa Magistrates Court on Monday, 24 November 2025, on a charge of murder with two counts."
The case is being closely monitored as the community seeks justice for the victims.
