Eighteen undocumented migrants have been arrested by local police in Tshwane.
They were arrested by Tshwane Metropolitan Police Department (TMPD) officers this week as part of an operation by the city.
The group is part of a total of 64 undocumented migrants who have been arrested for contravening immigration laws in Mamelodi and Centurion.
“The TMPD remains firm in enforcing the supreme law of the constitution and the city bylaws without bias or discrimination to ensure that all who reside within the borders of the City of Tshwane are legally administered,” said TMPD spokesperson Puleng Motholo.
