The corruption case involving a Hawks officer and a Tembisa Hospital employee has been postponed to next week.
The two appeared in the Pretoria Magistrates Court after they were arrested on Sunday.
It's alleged they tried to bribe a Hawks officer who is investigating corruption at the health facility, in an attempt to avoid prosecution.
In September, the Special Investigating Unit (SIU) reported that R2 billion meant for healthcare services at the hospital had been misappropriated.
DA's Jack Bloom commended the Hawks for arresting one of their own.
"And we need to interrogate everybody there so that we find out who most benefited from it, and then recover the money as soon as possible and make sure that [they are prosecuted]."
