Parts of the province were issued with a Level 4 and Level 5 warning alerts for severe weather.

The inclement weather has caused severe damaged to some homes in Hanover, which appear to be newly built.

Cracked walls, broken windows and roofless homes are what’s left after the heavy downpours.

Transport and Human Settlements MEC Siboniso Duma is also on the ground assessing the extent of damage.
