The case against popular Lekompo star, Lehlogonolo Chauke, better known as Shebeshxt, has once again been postponed to allow the defence to familiarise itself with new charges that have been added.
The matter will return on 27 November at the Polokwane Magistrates Court.
The 30-year-old musician from Limpopo made a brief appearance at the local court on Tuesday for a bail application.
This high-profile case stems from an alleged road-rage incident which happened in October.
Chauke was initially facing three counts of attempted murder, negligent discharge of a firearm, robbery with aggravating circumstances, two counts of assault with an attempt to cause grievous bodily harm and possession of an unlicensed firearm.
During the proceedings on Tuesday, Magistrate Godfrey Netshiozwi granted the delay after Advocate Lot Ramusi argued that the State had "ambushed" them by introducing six additional charges in the serious Schedule 6 matter.
"You have to prepare... There are six counts that I’m not aware of, we were ambushed," he said.
The six additional charges include robbery with aggravating circumstances (Mankweng), attempted murder (Seshego), possession of firearm (Lebowakgomo), assault GBH (Lebowakgomo) and negligent discharge of firearm (Lebowakgomo).
