Men must be held accountable: Soweto demonstrators march against GBV

Demonstrators at the Good Men Foundation march are calling on men to uplift women and stop abusing them.
The foundation, led by Zulu King Misuzulu kaZwelithini, is marching through the streets of Soweto on Thursday.
Various organizations have come out to show support.
The streets of Rockville, Soweto, hummed with traditional Zulu hymns and motorcycle engines as men and women united to call for an end to gender-based violence (GBV) and femicide.

Demonstrators said this was an important march, which aims to hold men accountable for their actions.
Chairman of Amatyma Wellness Network, TT Mbah, said the conversations among men in the country must change.
"Every 63 seconds, a woman or child is a victim of gender-based violence and femicide and the perpetrators are men? So, we need to talk as men and call each other out in you calling each other out."
Eyewitness News understands that King Misuzulu kaZwelithini will not be at the march due to security reasons.
