Rihanna’s ‘Anti’ has now spent 500 weeks (9.5 years!) on Billboard chart

Despite not actively releasing much music, Rihanna’s last album, Anti, continues to break records.

Released nearly a decade ago, the album has spent 500 weeks (9.5 years) on the Billboard 200 chart, reports 947’s Zweli Mbhele.

“It has not left that chart since the day it was dropped. Listeners are still loving it,” he says.

This makes her the first Black female artist to reach this milestone in the chart’s history.

Rihanna acknowledged the achievement on X, writing. “God ain’t forget bout me!”

Despite releasing several songs over the years and headlining the 2023 Super Bowl Halftime Show, the mum of three has not released an album since Anti.

“Next month marks 10 years since Rihanna dropped a studio album. That is a record on its own,” Zweli adds.
