Viral video bonus: Melodramatic giant dinosaur caught dumping rubbish

A T-Rex dinosaur is 'being investigated' after being caught on camera dumping bin bags on a suburban street in Essex in the UK, reports media website, Your Southend.

Someone dressed in a purple dinosaur suit was captured doing the nefarious deed on CCTV footage, which a Southend resident sent to the website.

The rogue raptor is pictured following traffic regulations by looking both ways before crossing the street, but then breaking the rules by tossing two bags of trash next to an full wheelie bin.

"It was the night before bin day, too!", exclaimed the resident.

After taking a little waddle down the road, the dinosaur recrosses to the other side, enjoying a celebratory twirl on a lamppost before moving out of shot.

The video provided what seemed like some welcome light relief to viewers on social media.

"OMG I love this, we need a good laugh" responded one.

Another excused the creature's rule-breaking to say, "Well, I deplore fly-tipping, but that's funny".

"They will be stopping all the dinosaurs on the high street and asking them questions now!" was another quip.

The consensus seemed to be that this was the "best crime caught on camera ever".
