The latest trend taking the wellness space by storm is contrast therapy.

Contrast therapy, an ancient practice that is making a comeback, involves intentionally alternating between hot and cold temperatures to promote recovery.

It is great for rapid muscle recovery, reducing inflammation, mood boosting, improving circulation, and enhancing athletic performance.

Janet DeMar, co-founder of One Flow Yoga and Wellness Social Club, explains that it is primarily through saunas and cold plunges.

Its popularity stems from providing quick, holistic benefits for both physical recovery and mental well-being, moving beyond just sore muscles to holistic wellness.

“The body responds powerfully to temperature shifts, encouraging circulation, which is the movement of blood through your body.”
