Slain Alexandra Taxi Association chairman Vusi Mayaba has been described as a leader who left a meaningful impact on the industry.

He was shot dead in the parking lot of a Woodmead shopping centre last week.
The South African National Taxi Council (SANTACO) said that his death is a major loss for all in the industry.
“He was a respected leader whose dedication, guidance, and commitment to the taxi sector left a meaningful impact on the Alexandra Taxi Association and the broader industry. His legacy of service and leadership will be remembered with great respect,” said SANTACO Gauteng secretary Graham Fritz.
