Table Mountain reaches major milestone with 1 million visitors in 2025

Table Mountain has welcomed a total of 1 million visitors this year.
 
On Monday, the Table Mountain aerial cableway company celebrated its thirty-third millionth visitor since it began operating, a domestic tourist from Limpopo.
 
In January, the company celebrated hosting its thirty-second millionth visitor atop the mountain.
 
The company’s Colette van Aswegen said early indicators of increased tourism were seen as far back as September.
 
“We have seen those numbers come through, and it's related to a number of factors. There are more visitors arriving through our airports, more airlines flying directly to Cape Town, and the cruise season has started. It’s also just wonderful to see Cape Town on everybody’s bucket list,” said van Aswegen
