The bunny chow is one of South Africa's favourite street foods - now imagine this dish of a hollowed-out loaf of bread filled with curry stretching nearly 16 metres long!
A Centurion restaurant put this on-the-go treat back in the headlines with a new Guinness World Record for the longest version of the dish.
Bhai’s Lounge smashed the previous record of what it says was 13.95 metres with a marathon effort to produce a bunny chow officially measuring in at 15.98 metres.
This was made possible by a custom-built, 17-metre-long oven, in which a single continuous loaf could be baked.
The filling required 40kg of lamb curry along with 10kg of sugar beans.
Representing Guinness World Records was Mbali Nkosi, who verified and certified every step of the process.
Tensions ran high as the chefs waited for the final verdict, with elation following the official reading of 15.98 metres.
