Police are reviewing camera footage to get leads on the suspects involved in the murder of Warrick Stock who was commonly known as “DJ Warras”.

Stock was murdered in the Johannesburg's CBD on Tuesday.

In a statement, his family has called for privacy as funeral arrangements are yet to be finalised.

Police said Stock was ambushed by a suspect in dreadlocks.

He was shot multiple times near the popular Carlton Centre in the Johannesburg CBD.

It is understood Stock had been at a building called Zambesi House, where he was contracted to manage the security.

The building was previously hijacked.

Stock was at the building for several hours, overseeing the installation of security mechanisms at the premises.

The famed media personality was armed at the time of the attack.

He was targeted while leaving the building and approaching his vehicle while on a call.

According to police, CCTV footage of the incident shows three suspects allegedly colluding in the moments leading up to his murder.

No arrests have been made.
