The Special Investigating Unit (SIU) has obtained a preservation order from the Special Tribunal to freeze a residential property in Pretoria linked to the late actor Presley Chweneyagae and his wife, Charlaine.
The order is directed against Charlaine in her personal capacity and as executor of her late husband’s estate, Alfred Muzwakhe Sigudla, and two non-profit organisations.
It prohibits the sale, transfer, lease or disposal of the Pretoria property pending the finalisation of civil proceedings to be instituted by the SIU within 60 court days.

The property is alleged to have been purchased with close to R900,000 diverted from a R15 million grant from the National Lotteries Commission (NLC).
SIU spokesperson Kaizer Kganyao said the funds were meant for youth arts programmes.
Before his death earlier in 2025, the ‘Tsotsi’ actor was the second media personality on the globally acclaimed movie, after Terry Pheto, to be implicated in swindling public funds meant for public upliftment projects in underprivileged communities.
“The SIU’s investigation found that the grant was approved for the Southern African Youth Movement NPO, represented by Sigudla, and subsequently channelled through Domestic Baboon (Pty) Ltd, a company solely owned by the late Presley Chweneyagae, to acquire the private residence.”
