Duo linked to DJ Warras' murder to appear at Johannesburg Magistrate

Two suspects are expected to appear at the Johannesburg Magistrate’s court for the murder of media personality Warrick Stock, also known as DJ Warras.
 

The two men were arrested by police at a hostel in Soweto on Monday.
 
Stock was shot and killed in Johannesburg’s CBD at a building known as Zambesi House last week.
 
Mourners gathered in Rosebank yesterday for the final send-off of Warrick Stock.
 
The provincial government has commended police for the swift arrest of the two suspects linked to the killing of the media personality.
 
Police spokesperson Brenda Muridili says officers are still searching for additional possible suspects.
 
“They will be charged with the murder of DJ Warras and will appear at the Johannesburg Magistrate’s court on Wednesday, 24 December 2025.”
 
ActionSA has welcomed the arrests but has called on the criminal justice system to ensure a lengthy and successful prosecution.
