Whether you are looking for a career change or an opportunity to upskill, there are tons of careers to look out for in 2026.

Ari Katz, CEO of Boston City Campus, highlights the importance of focusing on emerging fields like e-commerce, logistics, and supply chain management, which are experiencing significant growth.

Individuals must be adaptable and open to lifelong learning, rapid evolution of technologies, and the need to stay ahead of the curve.

Cognitive development and critical thinking skills are also important, as they are less likely to be replaced by artificial intelligence.

“Some of the key trends that I think that we are going to be seeing are people either entering careers or looking to change careers. I think one should be very focused on the e-commerce environment and the opportunities in it,” he says

Katz adds that careers in STEM fields (science, technology, mathematics, and engineering) are still in high demand.

Individuals must develop skills that complement technology, like creativity and problem-solving.

“Most technologies have evolved, and most careers have evolved,” he notes.

He encourages individuals to explore opportunities in non-traditional fields, such as artistry, which is experiencing a resurgence.

Entrepreneurship and creativity are also important in solving SA’s employment challenges.
