Orland Pirates’ January transfer window has gotten off to a flying start with the signing of Stellenbosch striker Andre de Jong.
Following months of chasing, the New Zealander takes up the Buccaneers jersey from Stellenbosch FC.
“Orlando Pirates is pleased to announce the signing of Andre de Jong. Welcome, Andre,” the team announced on social media.
The Soweto giants are looking to reinforce the club in an effort to maintain their top spot in the Premier Soccer League.

De Jong played 114 games for the Winelands club, scoring 19 goals and providing 11 assists from 2023 to 2025.
He has also played for Royal AM and AmaZulu FC.
