African National Congress Youth League (ANCYL) president Collen Malatji says South Africans do not hate the ANC, but rather dislike what he describes as lazy members within the party.
Malatji was speaking during the annual Peter Mokaba memorial lecture held in the North West on Friday.
He believes the presence of lazy ANC deployees in government is one of the reasons voters are losing confidence in the party.

Malatji adds that the ANC cannot contest the upcoming local government elections with lazy members at the forefront of the party's campaign.
"They are tired of lazy councillors. Lazy mayors, lazy officials, lazy premiers, lazy mec’s and lazy ministers. They are tired of laziness. They want service delivery and for their lives to change," said Malatji.
