Ramaphosa has issued a stern warning to South African organisations that have allegedly been misinforming the US.

Ramaphosa reaffirms SA will 'not be bullied'

African National Congress (ANC) president Cyril Ramaphosa has once again emphasised that South Africa will not stand by and be bullied by both international and domestic actors. 
 
Ramaphosa made these remarks during the ANC's January 8 rally at the Moruleng Stadium, just outside Rustenburg in the North West, on Saturday.
 
Part of his speech focused on geopolitics, particularly South Africa's recent escalating tensions with the United States.   
 
Ramaphosa has issued a stern warning to South African organisations that have allegedly been misinforming the US.
 
AfriForum and Solidarity have been accused of trying to sway the Trump administration against South Africa, citing alleged discrimination against Afrikaner people.

Some believe that these actions may have contributed to the heightened tensions between Washington and Pretoria. 
 
Ramaphosa says that South Africa will not be intimidated or bullied. 
 
"We as the people refuse to be divided, we refuse even to be bullied by anyone, whether here or around the world, and our rallying call continues to be: we will not be bullied."
 
South and the US are still not seeing eye to eye, with President Donald Trump repeating claims of a so-called ‘white genocide’.
