The minister announced the the results or the matric class of  2025 in Johannesburg on Monday.

KZN takes top honours with a matric pass rate of 90.6%

Basic Education Minister Siviwe Gwarube announced the Class of 20205 matric exams on Monday 12 January.

Basic Education Minister Siviwe Gwarube has lauded the Matric class of  2025 boasting an 88 percent pass rate which is an increase from the previous year and the highest recorded in the country’s history.

Kwazulu-Natal has taken top honors with a pass rate of 90.6 percent

The minister announced the the results or the matric class of  2025 in Johannesburg on Monday.

At the bottom of the ranks is the Eastern Cape, however with an improved pass rate of 84.71 percent

Free State and Gauteng rounded up the top three performing provinces.
