Details, including threats, have come to light in a protection order that Warrick Stock, popularly known as DJ Warras, had applied for against six individuals.
This has emerged during the bail hearing of Victor Majola in the Joburg Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
Majola, a taxi boss from Soweto, has been charged with conspiracy to commit murder and the premeditated murder of Stock.
Four days before he was killed in the Joburg CBD, Stock, made an application against six people who lived in the building Zambesi House that the media personality was contracted to safeguard.
Contents of the protection order application were read out in the Johannesburg Magistrates' Court.
According to the application, Stock and security personnel attached to his company, Imperium OPS, received verbal threats from six tenants of Zambesi House.
The threats were made against Stock and his teams on two separate occasions in November last year.
The first person listed on the protection order application is Hlengiwe Buthelezi, Majola's girlfriend.
Buthelezi was allegedly part of an informal committee at Zambesi House that was charging tenants rental and unlawfully pocketing the money, with the rightful landlord incurring losses of more than R200, 000.
