Warm conditions continue across Gauteng on Thursday with isolated thunderstorms expected in Johannesburg and Pretoria, while Cape Town sees breezy, partly cloudy skies with a chance of evening rain, according to AccuWeather.
Johannesburg will be warm with a high of around 27–28 °C and a low of 14–15 °C. The day starts partly sunny, but clouds build in the afternoon, bringing widely scattered thunderstorms and a moderate chance of rain. Winds will be light to moderate at around 10–20 km/h, increasing slightly with storm activity.
Showers should clear overnight, leaving cooler conditions.
Pretoria’s forecast is similar, with highs near 27 °C and lows around 17–18 °C. The morning may start cloudy with isolated thundershowers, followed by afternoon showers and thunderstorms. Rain chances remain high through the afternoon, with moderate winds around 15–25 km/h accompanying the unsettled weather.
Cape Town will see mild conditions with a daytime high of around 21–22 °C and an overnight low near 13–14 °C. The day is expected to be partly cloudy and breezy, with south-westerly winds of 15–30 km/h. Any rainfall risk remains low, with only a very slight chance of brief, isolated showers later in the day.
