The department said most of the courts are experiencing roof leaks, electricity supply outages and structural damage.

Justice Deputy Director-General Lucky Mohalaba said they have asked the Department of Public Works and Infrastructure for assistance.

“We have had about three days last week where there has been no access to majority of the courts. Where the community bridges were also damaged, leading to members of the community as well as the staff members not being able to access the courts so we have logged calls with the Department of Public Works and Infrastructure.”
