Outgoing National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) boss Shamila Batohi has denied walking out of the Nkabinde inquiry.

Briefing the media on her final day in office, Batohi said she is committed to the commission's process.

Batohi refused to return to the Nkabinde Commission of Inquiry, citing a need to get legal advice.

She requested a probe into Gauteng NPA head Andrew Chauke's fitness to hold office.

"I didn't walk out of the inquiry; I am not delinquent, I am committed to this process," Batohi said on Friday.
