The Madlanga Commission of Inquiry has granted an application to have the next witness appear in-camera.
Members of the commission, as well as the witness' attorney Hartley Ngoato, mulled over two applications that sought to have proceedings postponed, and for witness F to appear in-camera without being identified
The commission ruled to postpone Friday's proceedings to Tuesday.
Ngoato argued for a postponement, claiming they were only provided with certain pieces of evidence four days ago, and still required time to peruse through it.
"The documentation we received in December, that he has already made statements to the commission about that part, we are ready to proceed. But the ones that we just received four days before, we can’t, we still have to peruse, we still have to consider."
Ngoato further argued for his client’s testimony to be heard in-camera, which the commission chair, Justice Mbuyiseli Madlanga, granted.
"The commission accordingly orders that the testimony of the witness will be presented without mentioning his name, and so his image we so order."
Witness F, a member attached to organised crime in Gauteng, will begin his testimony on Tuesday.
