Cape Town police have launched an investigation into another mass shooting in the Mfuleni township, which left two people dead and four others wounded.
The incident occurred earlier on Wednesday at a residence in Shire Street, Extension 6. According to preliminary reports, the motive for the attack is believed to be gang-related.
Police spokesperson FC van Wyk confirmed that no arrests have been made as of yet. Authorities were alerted to the scene via radio control dispatch.
"According to our reports, police members on duty received a complaint from radio control of a shooting at the mentioned address. On their arrival at the scene, they were pointed out the bodies of two people that were shot. All the injured people were taken to two nearby hospitals for medical treatment".
