ActionSA will on Monday finalise its Johannesburg Mayoral candidate.
The party says five candidates, including party founder Herman Mashaba, have put their hands up to run for the position.
National spokesperson Michael Beaumont says the party is aware that its candidate will have to navigate a total collapse of service delivery in the City.
He adds that the finalist will be announced next Saturday.
"ActionSA's committee has engaged Herman Mashaba, Darylene James, Funzi Ngobeni, Lerato Ngobeni, and myself, Michael Beaumont, to make ourselves available for consideration for the position. ActionSA is acutely aware the City of Johannesburg is going to require leaders who can turn the city around," said Beaumont.
