Unconfirmed number of victims die in Limpopo bus crash

Multiple people have died in a bus crash in Limpopo on Thursday morning.

The bus was en route to Zimbabwe from Johannesburg when the fatal accident occured.

Limpopo Traffic and Community Safety spokesperson Matome Taueatsoala said the driver lost control of the vehicle and veered off the road into a ditch.

He said at this stage the number of deceased persons are still unconfirmed.

“The forensics pathologists are here. At this stage, it's not even clear who's the driver and who's not the driver. The bus is in the ditch, and it looks like we may be leaving one or two or three people under the bus.”
