The number of sexual offences, including rape and sexual assault, reported during the last three months of 2025 has declined.
Acting police minister Firoz Cachalia was presenting the latest crime stats on Friday.
The data shows that overall violent crime during this period decreased by 6.7 percent, with just over 12,600 cases reported.

It's been reported that more than 35 percent of women have experienced physical or sexual violence at the hands of an intimate partner in the country.
