SASSA confirms March grant payment dates

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has confirmed the payment scheduled for March 2026. 

The payment schedule is as follows:

- Older Person’s Grant: Tuesday, 4 March 2026

- Disability Grant: Wednesday, 5 March 2026 

- Children’s Grant: Thursday, 6 March 2026. 

The Social Relief of Distress Grant will be paid through the month.

SASSA warned beneficiaries not to ignore official review notifications sent via SMS. 

Upon receipt, beneficiaries must visit any of the agency’s offices to undergo a grant review to verify their continued eligibility for social assistance and prevent fraud. 

“Social grant review, as legislated by the Social Assistance Act, is to ensure that SASSA is still paying the right social grant to a deserving and eligible beneficiary,” said spokesperson Senzeni Ngubeni.
