Mahindra South Africa is playing a meaningful role in uplifting communities.
Speaking to Ray White on 702, CEO Rajesh Gupta unpacked the company’s purpose-driven philosophy centred around one word: 'rise'.
“Only if you enable others to rise, you rise… That is a deeper integration of sustainability, our commitment towards the communities, and empowering people to drive positive change.”
He added that corporate success and community wellbeing are linked, which means aligning business goals with social impact and responding to the real needs of the communities they serve.
This approach is reflected in several initiatives focused on youth empowerment, education, conservation, and the arts.
The company supports young girls through the Ruta Sechaba Foundation, promotes reading through Literacy for Life, and partners with Sorai Initiative to help conserve rhinos.
“You have to be socially responsible. You should be resonating where the care is needed,” he said.
