WC police probing Muizenberg shooting

Western Cape police are investigating a case of murder and attempted murder after two people were shot in Muizenberg, Cape Town.

The attack occurred in Military Heights, Seawinds, on Friday night when unknown gunmen opened fire.

A 22-year-old man sustained gunshot wounds to his back and thigh and succumbed to his injuries after running a few metres from the scene.

Police spokesperson Ndakhe Gwala said a second victim, aged 35, was shot in the head and was taken to a medical facility for treatment.

"The motive for the attack is yet to be determined. No arrest has been made yet."
