Limpopo authorities are on high alert, as flooding continues to affect parts of the province.
Heavy rainfall over the past two days has left roads damaged and some low-lying bridges submerged in districts including Vhembe, Waterberg and Mopani.
The flooding has also forced the temporary closure of two border posts between South Africa and Mozambique.
Premier Phophi Ramathuba said disaster management teams are responding to distress calls from communities after some areas received more than 100 millimetres of rain.

Mudslides have been reported along the R523 between Khalavha and Sibasa, while parts of the R33 in Waterberg have also been affected.
Meanwhile, the Border Management Authority (BMA) has suspended operations at the Pafuri and Giriyondo ports of entry due to rising water levels in nearby rivers.
BMA spokesperson Mmemme Mogotsi said, “There have been no injuries or damages to the infrastructure reported.”
The South African Weather Service (SAWS) has also warned that Limpopo could continue to experience heavy rainfall until the end of March.
