The revival of Dunoon’s Thandabantu Park, which was once an informal dumping ground and sand mining site, has gone viral.
The once-neglected space was transformed through a private sector initiative and the City of Cape Town, reports Primedia+ Digital Content Editor Barbara Friedman.
In a viral before-and-after picture, Cape Town Mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis said this was the dignity the city wants to bring to everyone.
“We've worked really hard to clean up Dunoon. It’s now looking and feeling cleaner than in years. And we’ve turned bad public spaces into lovely, safe places for Dunoon's families to enjoy,” he said.
