Although services were still affected this morning, the city’s transport department says diesel has now been delivered to all three fuel depots, which ran out on Tuesday.
MMC Tlangi Mogale has blamed the disruptions on one of the city's suppliers.
"There were those who were trying to justify the actions of the supplier due to the fuel hike and that they had returned to the national treasury, requesting that there be an adjustment on their rates that they had entered the contract with, and obviously that was rejected by the national treasury because, honestly there were no financial implications to their work."
