Police are currently on the scene of a deadly shooting in Ormonde, south of Johannesburg, following a violent confrontation involving multiple vehicles.

The incident has left two people dead and another two fighting for their lives. The injured victims were rushed to a nearby hospital with serious wounds.

While specific details remain sketchy, preliminary reports suggest the incident involved three vehicles. Gauteng Police spokesperson, Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi, stated that one of the cars was believed to be transporting cash. However, upon arrival, responding officers found no money at the scene.

Investigators are working to determine the sequence of events and identify the third vehicle involved in the skirmish. Nevhuhulwi provided the following update:

"It was a private vehicle that was being escorted, so it seems the third vehicle is the vehicle of the suspect. But at the moment, we cannot for sure say that it was the suspect's vehicle. Like I said, we have our investigators on the ground; they are still trying to patch the information and try to see what we can work with."

No arrests have been made at this stage, and the area remains a heavy crime scene as forensic teams gather evidence.
