Tyla has unveiled the release date of her highly anticipated sophomore album, A*Pop, which is set to be released on 24 July.

While the full tracklist has not yet been released, the album will feature her viral hit Chanel, and her recent single She Did It Again, with Zara Larsson.

The two-time Grammy winner teased the album announcement on Wednesday with a trailer before confirming the release date.

She describes the A-Pop era as “African”, “unapologetic”, and “confident”.

Tyla’s self-titled debut album, released in 2024, achieved global success. It debuted at number 24 on the US Billboard 200 and number 19 on the UK Albums Chart.

The album also became the most-streamed album by a black female artist in 2024, surpassing 1.5 billion streams on Spotify within one year.

She followed this success with the release of her EP WWP (We Wanna Party) in 2025, which surpassed 80 million streams on Spotify.
