The South African Weather Service is forecasting a mix of rain, cloud and sunshine across the country this long weekend.
Mostly cloudy conditions, with isolated showers and thundershowers, are expected in many areas, while the Western Cape should be warmer with partly sunny skies.
A yellow level 2 weather warning has been issued for the Free State, the central and western parts of North West, and the central and southern parts of the Northern Cape.
Conditions are expected to clear by Sunday, with sunshine forecast on Monday.
