Orlando Pirates will be under pressure to secure a win against Kaizer Chiefs in the sold-out Soweto derby at FNB Stadium on Sunday.
The Buccaneers are locked in a tight title race with Mamelodi Sundowns, with just one point separating the sides.
Football journalist Masebe Qina said defeat could see the Buccaneers slip down the table.
“Based on the very tight title race that Pirates are involved in, competing for that top spot with Mamelodi Sundowns puts them under a lot of pressure going into this clash.”

He said consistency will be key, particularly after Pirates dropped points at a crucial stage against Richards Bay.
“The coach will need to make sure he sticks to his winning formula, keeps his winning team and does not try to make too many changes going into this one.”
While Chiefs are not competing for the top spot, Qina said they will be under pressure from their fans to finish in the top three.
“Kaizer Chiefs have been good defensively of late, very impressive and solid at the back, and they are not conceding too many goals, which will work in their favour.”
“I think they will put more emphasis on defence, try to catch [Pirates] on the counter, and possibly steal it late on.”
