Ukrainian troops successfully rescued a 77-year-old woman stranded in a warzone near Lyman by using an unmanned ground robot.
Drone operators spotted her near the frontline, prompting the 60th Separate Mechanised Brigade to dispatch the robot with a blanket and a “Grandma, sit down” note.
Footage released by Ukraine’s Third Army Corps shows a four-hour rescue.
The elderly woman can be seen walking hunched over with two walking sticks as she moves slowly along a long road.
She approached the robot and climbed aboard.
The military said the woman’s home had been destroyed in the war.
"Grandma, get on."
