The two were shot and killed on Durban’s popular Florida Road in February last year.

The State told the court further investigations including follow-ups regarding the money trail are still being conducted.

“Your worship we are at a stage where we can say at least from now we are in May, by the 4th of 5th month from today we will be in a position to say we can set a trial date - 4 to 5 months from now,” said  State prosecutor Lawrence Gcaba.

The arguments are continuing in the Durban Magistrates Court.
