Art, opera, wine and gourmet food meet the Cradle of Humankind for the NIROX Winter Sculpture Fair on Mother’s Day (11 May).
This year launches VILLA+ the Next Generation, an ambitious exhibition which honours the late South African sculptor Edoardo Villa.
It will also feature large-scale works by William Kentridge, Nicholas Hlobo, Jane Alexander, Jackson Hlungwani, Willem Boshoff, Walter Oltmann, and Serge Alain Nitegeka.
There will also be a live performance by the Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra with acclaimed Italian soprano Greta Dover.
“It’s a full day of music, food, art and nature… It’s a whole other way to appreciate the arts and sculpture in particular.”
– Lloyd-Anthony Smith
Tickets are still available on Howler.
